About llms.txt
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a simple markdown file you place at the root of your site (yourdomain.com/llms.txt). It gives AI systems a clean, curated map of your most important pages and what your site is about — the way robots.txt guides search crawlers. The goal is to help large language models understand and cite you accurately.
Is llms.txt an official standard?
It’s an emerging, community-proposed convention, not a confirmed ranking factor, and support varies between AI providers. It’s low-effort to add and does no harm, so it’s a sensible early move while AI search takes shape — but treat it as one small part of a broader GEO strategy, not a magic switch.
Where do I put the file?
Save the generated text as a plain file named exactly llms.txt and upload it to your website’s root directory, so it’s reachable at yourdomain.com/llms.txt. On WordPress you can place it in the site root via FTP, your host’s file manager, or a plugin that serves root files.
Is my data safe?
Completely — this tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, sent or stored anywhere.
