Customer Value & ROI Calculator
What is a new customer really worth to your business — over their whole lifetime, not just the first sale? Pick your industry below and the calculator tailors itself to you, then shows exactly how much you can afford to spend to win one.

Your numbers
Use realistic averages — rough is fine.
The math behind the numbers
How is customer lifetime value calculated?
Lifetime value = average value per sale × times they buy per year × years they stay with you. If you add a referral number, we include one generation of word-of-mouth: each new customer brings that many more, each worth the same lifetime value. It’s deliberately conservative — real referral chains often go further.
How much should I spend to acquire a customer?
It depends on your margins, but a cautious rule is to spend 10–25% of a customer’s lifetime value to win them, which leaves healthy profit. The tool shows your maximum at the percentage you choose, plus your break-even point — spend up to that and you recover the cost over the customer’s lifetime, with no profit.
Why pick an industry?
Only to relabel the form in language that fits — patients, clients, jobs, cases, members. The underlying math is identical for every business. The industry choice also points the next-step link to the right service, and you can share a tailored link (for example ending in #plumber) that opens the calculator pre-set for that trade.
Are the results based on industry averages?
No — and that’s the point. It calculates only the figures you enter, entirely in your browser, with no invented benchmarks or hidden assumptions. For your true numbers, pull averages from your own sales records or CRM.
Let’s grow your business through search.
Once you know what a customer is worth, the next step is a steady flow of them — through SEO, AI search, Google Ads, web and social.
